Discord is where you can make a home for your communities and friends. Where you can stay close and have fun over text, voice, and video chat. Whether you’re part of a school club, a gaming group, a worldwide art community, or just a handful of friends who want to spend time together, Discord makes it easy to talk every day, and hang out more often.

I have no idea where they get the UI update ideas from. Massive overhauls that make people relearn their entire muscle memory for how they use the app are going to make it harder to use and piss everyone off 100% of the time. This is the second time they've done it since I've been using it, for no good reason. What happened to "if it isn't broken, don't fix it"? On another note, the emoji menu is totally busted for me. The spacing is constantly changing and pushing the last column beyond view.

It ranges between 1-3 stars, depending on the update. As an android user, the new UI during video calls is pretty horrific: most of the time it is non-responsive and I have to whack my phone with my fingers to see no results. My image turns to quicksilver for the viewers, randomly, and somehow, still, the video freezes and we have to restart the call. Clearly, not top-notch programming.

UI update is unintuitive unlike its former design. Simply trying to find your friends list is a challenge. Having to go through a separate tab, go to search, and then go to people (3-4 steps). Whilst flash banging you with prior sent images first instead. Also in the messages tab. It no longer puts that are marked unread at the top. Making it harder to find. Which is literally the opposite point of marking messages as unread. Lastly, it's difficult to tell who's online in a group/server
